Bandai SHFiguarts Ultraman Z Original Review
Head Sculpt
The shape of the crown is simpler than the Alpha Edge and the eyes are larger. The shape of each part was almost the same as the image in the play. The eyes are clear parts. Since it is almost all silver, there seems to be little individual difference in painting.
Body
The design is simpler than Alpha Edge because it is the basic form of Ultraman Z. The body shape is almost the same and the painting is polite. The shape of the chest is close to the alpha edge and the Z letter is clear and reproduced. The abdomen has less metallic parts for a calm coloring.
Arms and legs
The details of the shoulders and arms are simple on the arms. The legs are the part where the difference is particularly noticeable, and there was almost no red here.
Option and Accessories
Replacement color timer. Comes with a red color timer like Alpha Edge. Zestium ray effect. This is used by exchanging with the right wrist and passing the left hand through the dent. It can also be used for alpha edges.
It should be noted that it was dropped at the time of opening and the tip is a little chipped, but it seems to be quite fragile, so it seems better to handle it carefully. Since it is a basic form, the original is considerably simpler and the head and other parts are shaped like Ultraman.
Movability and Articulation
There are quite a lot of types of wrists, and it is possible to add various expressions. Movable is almost the same as recent Ultra Arts and Alpha Edge. It is possible to stand on one leg if the hardness is well balanced when kick pose. A wrist with two fingers when using Z Slugger is also included. The squishy cut that was first shown in episode 7 of the trigger can also be reproduced.
Replace the color timer. Hold both hands horizontally and open wide up and down to see the Zestium ray. This series of movements can be reproduced almost as it is. Another angle, the effect can also be attached to the alpha edge. The pointing pose in the voice drama can also be reproduced. With Sevenger. Swing and double punch. It ends with OP dash.
Summary
This is review of SHFiguarts Ultraman Z Original form. The proportions and form are as you imagined in the play, and the face reproduction is good. The coloring is mainly silver, but the texture of the metallic paint is also good, and the finish is very cool. The movement is as stable as the recent ones, the optional Zestium ray effect is also elaborate in color and shape and looks good, and this time the wrists are quite abundant and it was interesting to be able to reproduce the fine gestures in the play.
