This is review of action figure SHFiguarts Ultraman Astra from Ultraman Leo.

SHFiguarts Ultraman Astra Review

New modeling without diversion from Leo. As usual, the proportions are natural and the chain on the left thigh is realistically reproduced.

Head

Individual differences or the position of the pupil is slightly off. Other than that, the curved form was beautiful and just as I imagined. The eyes are clear parts as usual. The color and texture of the silver paint was also good.

Body

The thick yet slender body is just like the image. The silver part of the chest is a separate part, but there is no particular discomfort.

Arms and Legs

Slightly slender limbs. The chain on the left thigh was also reproduced with another part.

Option and Accessories parts

As usual, a replacement color timer is included. This time it is necessary to remove the silver part of the chest once, so replacing it is troublesome. It also comes with a replacement chest part that has a recessed shoulder to reproduce the Ultra Double Flasher. Effects for Ultra Double Flasher are also included. This is a model integrated with the wrist.

Ultra key is also included. The size with Ultraman Leo is almost the same, but the balance of the body has changed slightly, such as the pants part is longer and the abdomen is shorter.

Movability and Articulation

The construction of the joints is almost the same as Ultraman Leo, so the movement is almost the same as that. However, the neck joint, which was unique to Leo, has been improved, making it easier to move, such as turning to the side while pulling the chin. It is necessary to twist the abdomen, but kneeling is also possible. Ultra key comes with a special handle so you can hold it securely. Thanks to the replacement chest parts and effects, this can also be reproduced as in the play.

Summary

Ultraman Leo was released in November 2021, so his younger brother Astra will be released about a year later. The only regret is that the position of the eyes is misaligned, but like the recent Ultra Arts, the proportions, the form of the suit, the color, etc. are exactly the same as the image in the play, and the characteristic chains are realistically reproduced. The joints were improved and almost perfect, and it was well done. It looks great when placed side by side with Leo in the movie.
