This is a review of Bandai action figure SHFiguarts Masked Rider No. 1 [ Shin Kamen Rider ] from Tokusatsu series Shin Kamen Rider.

SHFiguarts Masked Rider No. 1[ Shin Kamen Rider ] Review

The proportions are slightly smaller than the true value, the face is small, and the color is similar to Sakurajima. The muffler is rather long.

Head

It looks similar to the normal No. 1, but it is unique in that the circle between the eyes is large. The helmet and compound eyes are colored similar to the old No. 1.

As usual, the compound eye mold is perfectly transparent. It was also characteristic that the neckline came out considerably.

Body

The armor on the chest and abdomen is angular and has molds, making it a suit that feels more artificial than the normal No. 1 suit. The details of the belt were also more elaborate than the old No. 1.

Arms and Legs

This area is a little narrower than the recent true value. The color is similar to Sakurajima, and the design has no vertical lines like the old No. 1. The mark on the back of the head is also printed precisely. The muffler has a ball joint connection and the base can rotate.

The movement can swing greatly both neck and waist, and the shoulders can be raised high. Elbows and knees can also be bent deeply. The hip joint is not a pull-out type, but it can be moved widely forward and backward.

Grounding was a little low by recent standards. The chest armor has movable ball joints. Even if I moved it to the maximum, there was some interference and my arm didn't bend inward that much.

Option and Accessories set

The coat is made of cloth and has wires in all directions, except for a part of the collar, so you can move freely. The coat is a little large, so it was possible to wear it on various characters, not just those with slender bodies.

I don't have Shinkotsu Sakurajima, so I call it old Sakurajima and Shinkotsu 彫製 No.1. The body shape is close to the true value, but it is slightly slender and has a small face. The color was close to Sakurajima.

Movability and Articulation

The coat is made of cloth and does not interfere with movement, so you can easily reproduce the transformation pose while wearing it. I couldn't see it directly, so it was difficult to move around my shoulders while wearing a coat.

The waist can be rotated firmly. The foot payment that I did in advance. The joints are stiff, but the ankles are thin, so standing on one leg was a little unstable.

It seems that a special motorcycle will be released, but for the time being, I will put it on the remodeled Cyclone, which has a similar design. I had no problem with my coat on.

Summary

There are many scenes where only the mask is removed in the trailer etc., so there is a feeling that I wanted a replacement head part, but the proportions are exactly the same as the image in the play. It was neat and nicely finished. The design is simple, so the movement is good overall, and although the important coat is a little bulky, it has wires in both the vertical and horizontal directions, so it's easy to move around, and I didn't have any complaints about playing.
