This is review of Bandai tokusatsu action figure SHFiguarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) Kamen Rider Gaim Arms Change Set (Pine Arms & Ichigo Arms) from Kamen Rider Gaim series.

Bandai tokusatsu action figure SHFiguarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) Kamen Rider Gaim Arms Change Set (Pine Arms & Ichigo Arms) Review

This SHFiguarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) Kamen Rider Gaim Arms Change Set includes two interchangeable armor sets: Pine Arms and Ichigo Arms, along with additional weapons and Lockseeds. Priced at ¥9,900, which is almost the cost of a full figure, the set delivers high-quality sculpting, detailed paintwork, and a solid sense of volume.

Pine Arms

Equipping Pine Arms onto Kamen Rider Gaim significantly changes his appearance.

Headpiece: The helmet remains from Orange Arms, but the eyes and rear crest are swapped. The eyes turn yellow, and the helmet takes on a pineapple-like design, complete with leafy details.

Chest & Shoulder Armor: The Orange Arms armor is removed and replaced. While the new armor is larger, the design remains relatively simple, so the change isn't too drastic.

Lockseed: The Pine Lockseed is intricately detailed.

Shoulder Armor: Much bulkier than Orange Arms, giving a heavy-armored appearance. The pineapple motif remains strong, making it look somewhat playful.

Shoulder Articulation: Made of four separate parts, with soft plastic joints to maintain good articulation.

Weapon – Pine Iron:

True to its name, the weapon resembles a pineapple.
Unlike the previous release, which used a chain, the new version features a fabric cord. However, the lack of a bendable wire makes posing more difficult.
Can be attached to the Musou Saber, and the included Lockseed can also be mounted.

Ichigo Arms

Swapping to Ichigo Arms transforms Gaim once again, this time into a strawberry-themed armor set with a striking red color scheme.

Headpiece: Similar to Pine Arms, the eyes and helmet crest are swapped.

Design Details: The helmet features leafy accents and strawberry seed patterns, maintaining a playful yet stylish look.

Armor Swap: The chest and shoulder armor attach in the same way as Pine Arms. Unlike Pine Arms, Ichigo Arms was never released in the original SHFiguarts line, making this a fresh addition.

Lockseed: Highly detailed and accurately sculpted.

Shoulder Armor:

Right shoulder represents the bottom half of a strawberry.
Left shoulder represents the top half, creating an asymmetrical design.

Weapon – Ichigo Kunai:

A set of small red kunai matching the strawberry theme.
Uses the same gripping hands as Orange Arms, but the fit is slightly loose, making them prone to slipping.

Bonus Forms – Kamen Rider Baron Pine Arms & Ichigo Arms

Although these forms never appeared in the series, they can be recreated using the Baron figure and this set’s armor.

Baron Pine Arms

The helmet swap follows the same process as Gaim. Since Baron’s base suit is yellow, the Pine Arms’ gold and yellow blend naturally, creating a surprisingly cohesive look.

The fit is seamless, thanks to Baron’s additional interchangeable faceplate.

Baron Ichigo Arms:

Similar swap process.
Since Baron’s base suit is red, the fully red armor creates a rather generic look, almost resembling a foot soldier rather than a main rider.

Comparison with Previous Releases

The original Gaim Pine Arms set was bundled with Baron Mango Arms in the old Figuarts line. This Shinkocchou Seihou version allows actual Arms Changing, making it more modular and versatile.

Armor size and detailing have been improved, with colors appearing richer and more vibrant.

Summary

While the price is on the higher side, the sheer volume of parts and detailed craftsmanship justify the cost. The lack of dedicated gripping hands for weapons is a minor drawback, but the smooth and simple Arms Change system makes it highly playable.

Given that this set focuses on Gaim’s alternate forms, it raises the question of whether Baron’s Mango Arms or other Riders’ forms will also be released. However, with the large number of Riders in Kamen Rider Gaim, I personally hope Bandai prioritizes figures like Zangetsu and Ryugen over additional accessory sets.
