Bandai action figure tokusatsu SHFiguarts Gold Dash Review
The long-awaited release of the current rider's bike has finally arrived. As the name suggests, gold is the main color, and the bike's large and flashy design is a standout feature.
Design and Finish
While the Gotchard figure had a lot of chrome, this bike focuses on metallic paint with no chrome parts.
As usual, the bike can stand on its own using the included stand. The claw parts on the sides of the cowl should be slightly open, but they were closed out of the box, and I didn’t notice, so they are photographed as such.
The handle and front wheel are linked, as always. The rear wheel also features a suspension gimmick.
There are no holes underneath the bike, but a stand joint is included to display it in a floating position.
Detailed Features
The cowl uses clear parts on the top, and the front light is also made of clear parts. The light has an eye-like mold inside, and the surrounding paint is well done.
The monitor is well-sculpted, and the handle details are precise. The arm bases are connected by ball joints, allowing significant up-and-down movement and some lateral movement. The claw parts can also open and close.
Body Details
The body is intricately sculpted, with lightning-like motifs and the word "DASH" beautifully printed. The thin gold metallic paint matches the show's image.
The seat is the usual molded color. The muffler is relatively small and has an angular form.
Wheels
Both the front and rear tires have unique colors and detailed designs.
Accessories
The bike comes with optional parts, including a dedicated handle grip for the Gotchard figure.
Comparison with Gotchard and Others
When comparing the bike to the Gotchard figure, it appears slightly smaller despite its larger size in the show. The bike also includes the small mascot, Chemie Hopper1, which is intricately detailed with clear parts for the eyes and wings.
Display Options
The bike can be displayed floating using the stand joint, and the arm can be deployed while jumping. The gimmick of the arm for attacks is well recreated.
Summary
This review of the SHFiguarts Gold Dash concludes by noting that, while the bike is slightly smaller than depicted in the show, it is significantly larger than typical rider bikes, making it quite impressive. The main gold color is true to the show, with detailed markings and designs. The inclusion of the stand joint makes it easy to display in various poses, and the Hopper1 accessory, despite its small size, is very well made. The upcoming release of the Boost Raiser from Geats is also eagerly anticipated, as it played a memorable role in the show.
Overall, the Gold Dash bike stands out with its detailed design, accurate color, and impressive presence.
