What's in the Box?

As the product name suggests, this release includes only the Gomora Armor set. No additional figures or accessories are packed inside.

Armor Equipped on Ultraman X (New Generation Stars Ver.)

The armor is shown attached to Ultraman X (New Generation Stars Ver.). Originally, this armor was bundled with the 2018 release of Ultraman X, so the fit is perfect and seamless with the newer version as well.

Chest Armor

To attach the chest armor, you simply remove the color timer part from Ultraman X and replace it with the armor. The silver color matches the figure’s body, making the integration look natural and authentic.

Shoulder Armor

These parts replace the original shoulder armor of the figure. The sculpt is sharp, and the paint application is mostly clean and well done. However, the shoulder parts may become loose when arms are raised horizontally.

Arm Claws

The figure’s most eye-catching feature is the large Gomora-style claws on both arms. These are attached by swapping out the wrist parts. The “G” emblem representing Gomora is beautifully painted on each claw.

The interior side of the claw pieces is openable, which makes attaching them easier and adds to the display potential.

A look at the back shows how cleanly the armor integrates with the figure without compromising its silhouette.

Also Compatible with Ultraman Orb Trinity

Just like in the show, the armor can also be equipped on Ultraman Orb Trinity. The method of attachment is similar to that of Ultraman X, though for Orb, the arm parts need to be swapped with exclusive parts that come with the Orb figure.

Articulation & Playability

Since the armor only includes the chest, shoulder, and arm pieces, articulation is mostly unaffected. However, as mentioned, the shoulder armor can come off easily if the arms are raised directly to the side.

The base Ultraman X figure was originally released in 2018, and while it still looks great, its articulation feels a bit outdated compared to newer SHFiguarts releases. The waist rotation, in particular, can feel slightly restricted.

Still, the claws attach securely to the wrist joints, so posing with them feels stable.

Despite some minor drawbacks—such as Ultraman X’s limited articulation and the loose shoulder pieces—the armor looks fantastic when equipped. The color consistency and sculpt quality are top-notch, staying faithful to the on-screen appearance.

It’s also great to see Bandai releasing updated versions of past Ultraman figures under the New Generation Stars line, making it easier for fans to collect iconic suits and accessories that were once hard to find.
